The Illiteracy Taboo
The taboo of illiteracy is more prevalent in the western world then one may have thought. In Ireland alone, illiteracy affects almost 18% of adults. A startling statistic which needs to be brought to the fore of public concern.
This project was awarded membership to the ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers), by Angus Hyland- Pentagram London, July 2015.
The purpose of this project is to shine a light on this almost invisible affliction. It is designed to empathetically show readers the difficulty faced by suffers in everyday life.
